On January 17, 1996 – Resolution of the Scientific Council of the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” foundation of Mykolaiv branch of NaUKMA was adopted. Birthday of BSNU (by the way, in 2006 we celebrated the first anniversary – the 10th anniversary of BSNU).

On July 3, 1996 – By the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Mykolaiv branch of National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” (NaUKMA) was established.  Convocation of graduates (only on this day and always in gowns degrees are awarded).

On March 13, 2002 –Mykolayiv State Humanitarian University of Petro Mohyla Mykolayiv as a branch of the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” was constitutionalized.

On December 10, 2008 – in accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 1521-r Mykolayiv State Humanitarian University of Petro Mohyla was reorganized into classic Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.

On August 31 (every year) – Dedication to students (students’ ID cards).

On October 15 (every year) – Renewal of the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.”

On October 31 (every year) – Halloween
